Intel CPU Relese New version
Intel regularly releases new versions of its CPUs, and they typically do so in several generations. As of my knowledge cutoff in 2023, Intel’s latest major release was the 13th generation of Core processors, known as Raptor Lake. These CPUs were launched in late 2022 and offer a mix of performance and efficiency cores, improving both multi-core and single-core performance compared to previous generations. They are built on a 10nm process and feature enhancements for AI workloads and gaming.
Intel also announced the 14th generation (Meteor Lake) processors, which are expected to launch in 2024. Meteor Lake will be based on Intel’s Intel 4 process and introduce a new microarchitecture, featuring a combination of Performance and Efficient cores, similar to Raptor Lake but with greater efficiency and performance per watt. Meteor Lake is also expected to offer significant advancements in integrated graphics, as well as support for new AI and machine learning workloads.
Intel also continues to work on its high-performance Xeon series for servers, and the Alder Lake and Raptor Lake chips are also being used in these markets.
